Chicago Aikido Club
The Chicago Aikido Club is dedicated to the free and creative exploration of Aikido in all its aspects – martial, physical and spiritual. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the martial art of Aikido, open to students of all styles, ranks and levels of experience.
Each class, members representing a diverse range of ages, personalities and attitudes meet to further their study of the art. Training is seen as an opportunity to exercise the body, learn new techniques and experience the possibilities of a centered mind.
Regular instruction at CAC is provided on a volunteer basis by its senior members, who lead classes by demonstrating techniques and exercises.
The CAC participates in elderly and youth community building activities outside of martial arts training. Donating money and manpower to at risk youth programs, organizing community events, supporting local performing arts as well as other social activities.
Classes are held in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood at the JASC building at 4427 North Clark Street, Chicago, Il 60640. Enter though the Tohkon Judo Academy door adjacent the parking lot.
