Home Support Services

JASC offers assistance to individuals who need in-home care in a compassionate and culturally competent manner through two homemaker programs, the Illinois Department on Aging’s Community Care Program and JASC’s Private Client Program.

JASC’s Private Client Program

In this program, JASC staff provide helpful homemaking services for people of all ages who need extra help at home. Examples of people who would use these services include pregnant women and new mothers, those too busy with life and career to keep up with household chores, those recovering from surgery or anyone else who needs help in their home.

Illinois Department on Aging’s Community Care Program

This program focuses on enabling older adults (age 60+) to remain independent and safe in their own homes, and delay or prevent nursing home or other residential placement. In this program, the State of Illinois pays full or partial costs for eligible seniors. A case manager visits your home to determine eligibility and an appropriate care plan.

Services

Examples of our services in both programs include:

  • basic housekeeping;
  • laundry;
  • meal preparation and light cooking;
  • errand services
  • medication reminders;
  • assistance telephoning physicians, pharmacies, or the Social Security Administration;
  • personal care;
  • advocacy;
  • companionship after a loss or emotional hardship.

Home Support Services staff have all passed an extensive background check and are bonded. They are trained to provide friendly, efficient, thorough and timely services.

Duration of services can vary, based on your needs, with no long-term contracts. Rates for services vary. Please contact Sodarlene Khee, Manager, Home Support Services by email:   or call 773-275-0097 ext. 223 for more information.

We look forward to offering you a helping hand!
