Donguri Kai - Class level 3

Tuesdays, 4:30pm – 5:15pm (Central Time)

Class for students in 1st – 6th grade and who are able to follow instructions in Japanese and able to make short conversations without assistance. Students build skills to compose short essays and practice to make good presentations. Students learn important basic Kanji letters and key radicals to make assumptions of the meaning and pronunciation. Students will participate in various Japanese American community events as a volunteer to practice their language skills and interpersonal skills. Installation of Zoom is required.

Donguri Kai offers small class sizes with 6 – 8 students. Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Kaori Tabion

After 10 years of working in the healthcare industry, Ms.Tabion started with Ms. Yatsuda a study group teaching Japanese to their kids and friends. In 2017, she founded Donguri Kai at JASC and has been teaching Donguri classes. She is a member of an international research community of kanji teaching methods in multilingual children at Learn Japan.
