What communities does JASC's Adult Day Program serve?

JASC welcomes Japanese, Filipino, Korean, and Chinese American seniors, along with older adults of every background. Our staff offers culturally sensitive care, and we work to make our programming reflective of all our participants.

Does JASC provide transportation?

Yes. Free door-to-door pickup and dropoff is included for all participants. We use wheelchair lift-equipped buses and vans, and our drivers assist with boarding and exit.

How much does Adult Day Services cost?

Private pay rates are $80 per day without transportation, $85 with one-way transportation, and $90 with round-trip transportation. Many participants qualify for free services through the Illinois Department on Aging Community Care Program, the Veterans Administration, or the Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services.

How do I enroll my parent or family member?

Call (773) 275-7212 to speak with an intake coordinator, or visit JASC at 5700 N Lincoln Ave during business hours (Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm). We recommend a tour before enrollment so families can see the program firsthand.

What does a typical day at JASC Adult Day Services include?

Mornings begin with arrival, a light breakfast, and group conversation. Days include physical fitness, art and music activities, a full lunch, nursing checks as needed, and supervised outings. Two Registered Nurses are on staff to support medication administration and health monitoring.

Where is JASC located and what neighborhoods do you serve?

JASC is at 5700 N Lincoln Ave in Chicago, IL 60659. Our Adult Day Program serves Chicago's North Side and Northwest Side including West Ridge, Lincoln Square, Edgewater, Andersonville, Rogers Park, Albany Park, and the suburb of Lincolnwood.

Yes. JASC provides a light breakfast, a full lunch, and an afternoon snack daily. Meals follow the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and Title III standards. We can accommodate most special dietary needs.

How long has JASC been serving Chicago?

JASC was founded in 1946 to support Japanese American families resettling in Chicago after WWII incarceration. Today JASC serves Asian American communities across the city. 2026 marks our 80th year.
