Japanese American Service Committee highlighted at AAPI Game
We are so grateful to the Chicago Cubs for making JASC a recipient of the proceeds from the AAPI Heritage Game. Their generous donation will be essential to helping our cultural programming and social services. We also thank the Cubs for inviting our Board Member Glenn Sugiyama to throw the first pitch on this special evening!
Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Chicago Cubs AAPI Heritage Game!
We had such a wonderful time celebrating together and sharing Japanese culture with the community. Our JASC booth at Gallagher Way was a hit—many kids and adults proudly wore origami kabuto (samurai helmets) made by our amazing Children’s Program team. Visitors also got to try writing their names and “Cubs” in Japanese, adding their own flair to each creation.
Special thanks to our friends at Kraft Heinz
We’re so grateful to Kraft Heinz for hosting JASC as part of their AAPI Heritage Month celebration. Their team helped fold many of the origami hats we handed out at the game. It was a meaningful day spent sharing stories, teaching origami, and introducing JASC’s mission and programs.
