Looking for something to do? Get ready to have fun with Japanese cultural activities at JASC’s new building!

Location: JASC building, 5700 N. Lincoln Ave. Chicago, 60659.

New programs and activities are coming soon!

Please note: Parents are not expected to stay with participants during the camp.

Upcoming Camps

Registration is now open for our upcoming Kids New Year Day Camp, which will feature Japanese New Year’s traditions of 書初め (Kakizome –calligraphy) and 初生け (Hatsuike – flower arranging/ikebana) activities at our new building! Early pick-up and camp after care will be available for additional charge.

Kids 1st – 8th grade are welcome.

When: Monday, January 20, 2025 from 9 AM – 3 PM.

2024 New Year’s Kids Camp

Our 2024 New Year’s Kids Camp was a raging success!

Monday, January 15, 2024
1st – 8th grade & High School students

Featured Japanese New Year’s traditions of 書初め (Kakizome –calligraphy) and 初生け (Hatsuike – flower arranging/ikebana).

Campers learned the basics of calligraphy and ikebana; then showcased their creations at the end of the camp.

Setsubun Day Camp

Featured Japanese tradition of 節分 (Setsubun – a Japanese festival that marks the end of winter and the start of spring).

Campers created oni masks and learned how to make eho-maki during this seasonal camp.
